Chris Wilson (ChrisxCreations) has announced the disbanding of Countdown as the result of sexual assault revelations pertaining to an incident from 2015. Wilson and the band have chosen to disband out of respect for the victim after it became clear that the band had mistakenly sided with the perpetrator, former Burst of Rage singer Jack Daut.

A song about the incident entitled Delusions has since been removed from the Countdown demo currently online. Countdown had been scheduled to play a run of East Coast dates in August with Glory and Abuse of Power, as well as Greg Falchetto’s Back 2 School Jam in New Jersey this September. Wilson is expected to continue with his involvement in his other bands Burst of Rage and NYC Velocity, as both bands have included Jack Daut within their membership.
