Straight edge band Frustrated

Wildomar, CA straight edge band Frustrated have released a new split, and man does it ever live up to their name. ‘Pissed off’ doesn’t even come close to explaining the vibe. The split is being released Hypergiant Records, the label run by Kaden Valdivieso from Clear Minded Clothing. Listen to the new record below.

We spoke to bass player Jake about the new split:

We’re releasing a short split this week on the 21st with our brother band from Vegas, Deep End. It’s gonna be about 7 songs, 4 from Frustrated and 3 from Deep End. Our label, Hypergiant Records is planning on doing a run of cassette tapes to support the release soon after it comes out, on top of which we’ll be putting out a handful of new merch designs based on the split as well.

Both bands recorded with Macario Gutierrez of Twin Cities in Las Vegas and he did an absolute wonderful job. We also received some creative and transitional advising from our good friend and labelmate, Daniel Dominguez, aka vxDEDxv. The production and overall quality of the music and sound is a big upgrade from our previous release Losing Grip. We really delve more into the pissed off side of our sound while still remaining true to what makes Frustrated, Frustrated.

Deep End definitely kills it on their side of the split as well. Raw and exciting hardcore from the depths of Vegas. Following the release of the split, we’re gonna be hitting the road with Deep End for a tour to support the split starting on February 7th in Vegas and we’ll be hitting up most of the west coast including a date in Fresno with Farooq, and a date in Fullerton on the 12th with our good friends from No Sleep, Seasons Change.

This split is hopefully gonna help issue in a new era for Frustrated. But we still bust it. We’re still pissed off. And we’re still straight edge.

The Frustrated / Deep End Split is available now to download or stream through the Frustrated Bandcamp page. The cassette and CD releases are available through Hypergiant Records.
