Boston straight edge band Spirits, Indiana xvx troubadour Grey Gordon, and Justin Sane‘s Anti-Flag have contributed songs to Not Safe To Drink, a new compilation raising funds for victims of the Flint water crisis. The album features 77 songs, including a contribution from Flint locals King 810. Listen to the full release below.

Statement from Spirits:

We were very graciously included on an awesome digital compilation with a bunch of great bands to help raise money toward the horrible events in Flint, Michigan in regards to their poisoned water. We wrote a brand new song for this comp. There are 77 songs on this comp, with a ton of awesome bands (Propagandhi, Taking Back Sunday, Anti Flag, The Suicide Machines, plus a ton of others). Please give the songs a listen, donate toward the comp, or if you want to just help independently of the release, you can go to www.flintkids.org to help.

From the organizers:

This album exists to bring awareness and relief to the people affected by the Flint Water Crisis. 100% of the proceeds from this release will go to FlintKids.org, a charity that focuses on the long term fixes and aid related to lead exposure in Flint, Michigan’s children.

‘Not Safe To Drink’ would not be possible without the help of many artists, labels, and companies coming together for the greater good. We cannot possibly thank everyone in this space, but a few names that jump to mind include Haulix, who provided promotional support and distribution, as well as Hopeless Records, SideOneDummy Records, Snowbird Songs, Nick Diener (Oneder Studios), Marc Jacob Hudson (Rancho Recordo), Jeff Baker, Kim Rosen (Knack Mastering), Alternative Press, Substream Magazine, and every single person who told someone this compilation exists. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.

The Not Safe To Drink benefit compilation is available now to download or stream through the Not Safe To Drink Bandcamp page. The minimum donation is only $5.
